But I’m sure that most viewers will be able to appreciate it for what it truly is. It can be a hit or miss, depending on what a viewer expects out of it. I see this anime as more of an experience rather than something that leads you to a fixed goal. ‘Recovery of an MMO Junkie’ is the kind of show that slowly grows on you, so my advice to anyone who is going to starts watching it now would be to binge on it instead of going for a weekly format of viewing. In the end, if you consider the Studio’s overall budget, the animation quality and style is quite commendable. The character expressions are major sellouts in this department of the show and the animation style becomes very subjective for this one. And if you look carefully, you’ll also notice how it tries to mimic the stereotypes of RPG gaming using satire. When it comes to the visuals of the anime, it’s raw and simple, which entirely suits its vibe. And though the anime is more about social norms, it still covers a few MMO gimmicks here and there which might get the attention of some gamers. But from the first episode itself, it has been made very clear that the motive of the anime is to focus more on the world outside the game and not inside it. ‘Recovery of an MMO Junkie’ doesn’t really have too many twists or turns but it’s the simplicity of the show that makes it unique. While watching this anime, a few people might complain about the typical setup and generic world-building of the fantasy RPG that has been portrayed. While the whole concept of gaming-centric anime is quite common these days, this one takes a slightly different approach towards the genre and explores the impact of an RPG on the real lives of the characters. First of all what I really want is to see an ending with the two of them overcoming everything that happened.Īnd secondly (which should be the main thing, but for me it's not) is the whole unfolding of the story.‘Recovery of an MMO Junkie’ is about one such relationship that explores all the awkwardness and complications that it leads to. The CatBoy is incredible in its acumen and fighting skills.īut what intrigues me the most is really the fact of how Flemmy and Addlet turned out, the end of vol. Everyone in the work has a moment when they shine, like for example Goldov saving Nashetania, he obviously did it for her, but he also took Chamo into consideration. But the most amazing thing is how the author just doesn't let him be the main one at all. And as Addlet it simply solves everything and is ingenious and smart. The way each character is presented as a tool for Tgurneu, showing their past, and the way they get cornered and try to deal with situations without being able to count on someone, because they have an insider among them, and that makes them look like Suspects.

which I don't particularly like, the way she uses Goldov is disgusting, but it's not like her aim is invalid, although it's not justifiable for her to be manipulative.

6 you can't even say if Nashetania is really evil, although it is clear that she is manipulative and so on.

good in vdd it's not like he was a villain, but yes, he has been manipulated and used, without him even knowing it. I say the way Nashetânia (and also Dozzu ) and even Addlet is really one of the 7th, I thought it was simply amazing that they put a "villain" without him knowing he was. The author is very good at what he did, (I don't mean the hiatus), each character, each work on each character, was simply magnificent, he didn't discard any character, even the villains are well used.
